create wonder together.Job SummaryThe Compliance Associate reports to the Compliance Manager under the direction of the Compliance DirectorCompliance with internal and state regulations is critical to the business operationThe Associate will work at the direction and discretion of the compliance manager.Duties and ResponsibilitiesCollaborates with the Compliance team to ensure compliance with all applicable state, county and municipal laws, ordinances, and regulations for that state.Assists in development of policies and procedures related to regulatory compliance in coordination with department heads and organization leaders.Implement policies, strategies, and procedures as directed within the assigned facility.Conducts compliance audits and report findings and develop and implement appropriate corrective actions.Take a proactive compliance view within the assigned facility and provide preventative measures to ensure the organization is compliant with all regulatory requirements.Interface with regulatory agencies during inspections to ensure the organization is in compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations.Uses independent judgment and knowledge of applicable state regulations during daily walkthroughs of the facility for compliance.Investigates and resolves compliance concerns, issues, or violations within the assigned facility.Motivate team members and represent compliance department within the facility with effective communication.Establish and develop strong relationships with facility department heads, providing a consultative approach to communicate compliance initiatives.Participate in facility leadership conversations and relevant workgroups.Comply with regulations and requirements associated with health, safety, and environmental protections.Ensure the correct use of safety devices and protective equipment as required and report any hazards, accidents, or injuries as required by company policy.Communicate with state regulators and inspectors as needed.Perform internal pre-inspections, and random compliance audits on AYR Wellness facilities.Other duties may be assigned at the discretion of the Compliance Manager.Qualifications Minimum one year of work experience in a related industry or work environmentSix months of experience in inventory tracking requiredDemonstrated oral and written communication capabilitiesProficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook)Previous METRC experience preferredPrevious LeafLogix experience preferredKnowledge of state and federal employment laws relating to key areas of responsibilityMust meet the age requirement as outlined by state cannabis agenciesAble to pass all background checks/fingerprinting as required by state cannabis agenciesAble to provide valid badging/credentials as required by state cannabis agenciesEducation Bachelor's degreeEquivalent combination of work/education experience acceptedExperience 1-3 years of cannabis experienceKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities Microsoft Office Suite experienceAbility to maintain an organized work environmentStrong verbal and written communicationProblem Solving SkillsAttention to detailWorking conditions Office atmosphereOccasional visits to the AYR dispensariesPartnering with operations teamPhysical requirements Able to use a computer for extended periods of timeAble to move about a typical office, manufacturing, warehouse, or retail environmentAble to perform general office managerial and administrative activitiesAble to lift and move up to 35 pounds The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
