com The Senior Accountant candidate will report to the US Accounting Manager and will be directly responsible for supporting the daily accounting functions of the business.
This includes responsibility for financial closing, financial reporting, working capital review, and ensuring compliance with accounting procedures and internal controls.
This individual must operate with a high degree of autonomy and leadership.
Key ResponsibilitiesSupport monthly financial close process, ensuring accurate financial results and requirements are completed within corporate timelinesEvaluate accounting policies and procedural control systems and work to improve effectiveness and compliancePrepare month-end General Ledger journal entries and reconciliationsAnalyze and report variances to budget to support the closing process and operations decision-makingMaintenance of General Ledger accountsAssist in the monthly upload of financial information to the Corporate HFM system and reconcile Trial Balances to the consolidated reportsDrive Bookings and Revenue reporting to track performance against expectationsAssist with the preparation of monthly forecasts and the annual budget with a focus on manufacturing expenses and working capitalSupport both internal and external audit requests (including SOX audits), preparation of state and federal tax packagesSupport Operations Controller and Business Unit Controller with any other duties/projects as assigned, such as the implementation of process improvements through simplification and automation to add controls and improve the visibility of performanceDevelop business relationships with cross-functional teams Required SkillsBachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA Preferred2
years of related accounting experience (Manufacturing Experience Preferred)Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office applicationsExperience with Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) is a plusMust be able to work independently and on multiple projects simultaneouslyProactive and creative, with an action and problem-solving bias with the drive to deliver resultsWork requires effective oral and written communication skills as well as a strong analytical acumenSuperior organizational skills and attention to detailAbout the Company:
