Job Description The Senior Business Insights Analyst is responsible for planning, development, delivery and maintenance of enterprise dashboards and reports.
These reports span the C-Suite, Merchandising, Merchandise Planning, Inventory Planning & Allocation.
This is a hands-on, fast-paced role and the ideal candidate will have proven experience and knowledge of reporting systems and analysis.
What will you do? - Responsibilities Acquire knowledge of rue21 data with the desire to understand how the information is used by the business.
Retail experience preferred - must understand retail KPI's Work with business teams to gather & document business requirements and create reporting solutions Manage scheduling & distribution of Corporate Merchandising/MP&A reports Become the data expert, understand the nuances of each metric and provide guidance to all application end-users React quickly to ad-hoc business requests for new reports & insights Develop & implement best practices for report layout/content/structure/scheduling Drive reporting efficiency and standardization by leading reporting governance Maintain a working understanding of backend system processing/updates/timing Conduct user training - both new hire and continuing education or report/insight roll-out Develop ownership of all reports being created/distributed Analyze and estimate feasibility of new reports and partner with IT for development efforts Work in conjunction with IT Partners to build new reporting capabilities and maintain data integrity QualificationsWhat do you bring to the table? - Education and Experience MicroStrategy, Tableau and advanced SQL experience a must High degree of proficiency in MS Office Suite particularly MS Excel a must Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance or related field preferred 4
years of relevant work experience, corporate retail background preferred Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to communicate across all levels of the organization Must be able to interact cordially and productively with all business partners Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks effectively Must possess excellent organizational skills Self-motivated with critical attention to detail and deadlines Comfort with rolling-up sleeves to get it done Ability to adapt well to change in direction and priority in a fast- paced and deadline-oriented environment Takes initiative to seek and develop process improvements Additional InformationWhat's in it for you!
